Obedience Training two German Shepherd Dogs – K911 Project

This is a quick session where I work with two G-S-D’s (German Shepherd Dogs) on basic obedience: Loose leash heeling, off leash heeling, heeling under distraction, quick-turns, downs and leaving the room, long downs and sits under distraction, automatic sits when coming to a stop, hopping over obstacles (my favorite :), crawling under obstacles and lastly some plain ol’ horsin’ around at the end to finish on a positive note. I use a mix of several different training styles such as positive reinforcement, marker training and compulsion training to get the best results. I’m sorry for no audio in this vid, the audio was there at one point but I couldn’t get it synced up properly – next video. It’s my body language that’s doing the most talking to the dogs anyways… The stars of this vid are: Kappa (Black) and Gemma Rae (Blonde/Sable). Both are Service Dogs in Training for The K911 Project. I’ll show them performing some service puppy functions in the next video, stay tuned.
